In game menu isn't showing on left side

Hello, 

I am currently having an issue properly assessing the in game modded menu (that's supposed to pop up on the left side of the screen). Although the screenshot doesn't show it, I did go into story mode first and still had the same issue. 

I've done all of the steps in the tutorial, along with redoing/redownloading everything, yet I can't figure this one out.

Have you tried to press F4?

I have but it only increases my laptop's brightness.

Yes, I do. I am however using a new laptop (Alienware 16) that doesn't seem to be letting me use the F4 to bring the menu up in game.

Okay, I see my hint didn’t land, so let’s be direct: read your laptop’s manual and check how to switch the function keys to work as proper function keys instead of their Fn sub-functions.
