Released

Remark: This will probably be one of the last "content" updates to this script for the near future, seeing as the GTA:O modding scene is slowly dying...

New/Additions:

  • [Vehicle Appearance] Added a "VO Auto-Fix" function (WIP).
  • [Driving Kit -> Auto Brake] Added a "Smart" mode for the Autobrake (WIP). This mode requires a waypoint to be set, and will automatically apply braking once the waypoint has been reached. NOTE: Works relatively well with normal vehicles, but might be slightly off when using larger vehicles.
  • [Vehicle Utility Manager -> Engine Presets] Added a "Proximity Mode" feature. Similarly to the "Auto" mode, this will automatically handle your engine for you. The difference here is that "Proximity Mode" will automatically pre-start your engine once you are within a certain distance of your vehicle.
  • [Vehicle Utility Manager -> Engine Presets] Added a "Manual Mode" feature. This will set the engine to "Off" unless the "Engine Ignition" is enabled. If idle, the engine will automatically turn off after a set period of time.
  • [Vehicle Utility Manager -> Vehicle Doors] Added "Lock Doors" and "Auto-Lock" features. "Lock Doors" will lock the doors as soon as it is enabled. "Auto-Lock" will automatically lock the doors when you have either exited the vehicle, or are driving. [WARNING: Reloading the script with these options enabled may permanently lock your vehicle]

Changes/Improvements:

  • [Vehicle Movement -> Levitate] Adjusted logic.
  • [Vehicle Telemetry Display] Renamed "Extra Info" to "Annunciator".
  • [Vehicle Telemetry Display -> Annunciator] Reworked Autobrake logic (Now it will only display once both "Arm" and a mode are selected. If no modes are selected, then no annunciator message will be displayed.
  • [Driving Kit -> Auto Brake] If the "Arm" function is enabled and no modes are selected, the autobrake system will automatically use the "Autobrake Low" mode.
  • Minor changes to naming.

Hello everyone.

There appears to be an issue when installing this script from the launcher.

When installing from WLauncher, the "Settings" folder is missing. This folder is critical for the function of the script.

Temporary fixes:

  • Create a "Settings" folder inside the "Vehicle Options" folder.

          Or

  • Download and install the script manually.

Thanks - DaRuskiKhat

Update: The aforementioned issue, as well as another issue have been fixed.

Enjoy!

Edit: The issue still persists (Although in a different form), a new version has been uploaded to address it.

This is really good! Sadly it's unusable at the moment, because whenever i load it in the game, it keeps flashing the car's turn signals. Hope it gets fixed :/

Hey Papapatrikkk,

This is a known issue, however, I am unable to fix this right now as something appears to be wrong with either the natives for it or how RE calls them (This is also the case with the NeonFX options). I've already brought the issue up with Antrix.

If a solution isn't found, then I'll disable the indicators entirely in the next VO version.

Do you want/accept contributions? I am loving this addon so far and would like to get autopilot working, along with better cruise control.

I am not familiar with Requiem nor its' addons but I am a developer and have made mods for other games so that hardly matters.

I would like to remove the noclip hotkey or at least move it from tab, is there a way to do so?

Hey DuoTW,

Yes, there is a way to change the hotkey for Vehicle Fly.

When you enable "Fly", there will be a dropdown box to select a desired hotkey (see below).

Oh, I should have seen that my bad. Thanks

Right, since a lot of people have been asking the same thing (regarding the hotkeys), I will be moving the hotkey selection outside of the "Fly" option.

Expect this in the next version.

Hey Guest Alex,

Are you on the 2.2.0.2035 build for Requiem? Because V1.5.0 is NOT compatible with older Requiem versions.

If you don't have access to RE 2.2.0.2035, then just use an older version of Vehicle Options for now (V1.4.0 will do)

I'm using 2.2.0.2026. But I click in the Launcher to check for updates, there are no updates. How to be?

Okay yeah, Vehicle Options V1.5.0 is incompatible with 2.2.0.2026.

You'll need to wait until 2035 becomes public. Or if you have VIP, just switch the branch over to "Testing" in the launcher.

But otherwise, just use VO V1.4.0 until 2.2.0.2035 releases for basic.

If you have other questions, feel free to ping me in the Vehicle Options discussion channel on the w1tch discord (assuming you're in there).

Hi,

How do I find the V1.4.0 version for Vehicle Options?

Thanks!

Hey @kuroppi,

You'll need to DM me on Discord (or just ping me in the Vehicle Options discussion channel on the w1tch discord), as they appear to have removed the ability to download older versions of the file.

I've spoken to Crohnus about this, so maybe it'll change soon.

Hey DaRuskiKhat, I was having a problem with this mod, after trying to install manually and through the launcher I haven't been able to use it? It shows up under Lua in the requiem menu but there are no actual available added vehicle mods. Could you help me out please 🙂

Correction, just saw that the current release is incompatible. Please ignore and forgive my laziness 🙂

Love this script, especially the RGB options haha.
Any chance this will get controller support? Features like horn boost and override speed limit only seem to work using KBM.

Hey Gritzz, thanks for using the script.

Not sure if this still matters, but I've added controller support for the Super Drive feature (which I assume is the one you were referring to), and I've also changed the logic for the Horn Boost to detect whether a player is using the vehicle's horn (currently, it boosts the vehicle whenever the player presses "E".

I'll include it in the next build (along with some bug fixes and possibly a few new features.
