Sebas200826 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 When I try to run the launcher, I get these messages, but it doesn't progress beyond that point and the menu never appears. I've already tried changing the VPN, I followed the instructions for BattleEye, and I tried both NetCore files, but nothing works (neither in Legacy nor Enhanced). Is there a solution?

Sebas200826 Posted January 20 Author Posted January 20 Yes, I'm still having the same problem. Nothing has changed so far.

Your issue looks like the antivirus is blocking the injection process. Sounds like you didn’t follow all the steps in the documentation, or you’ve got like 10 different AVs running. Realistically, after all these years there’s probably nothing new here - if you don’t even get a console window or any log files during injection, 90% of the time it’s because the required folders weren’t added to the AV exclusions. Check the documentation again, you likely missed something. Otherwise, share more details you may have left out in the thread.

I also followed all the solutions listed in the "Setup & Troubleshooting Guide" and even performed a clean reinstall, but I'm still stuck at the same point as before and the launcher does not proceed past that stage. Also, my games are installed on an external hard drive while the program is installed on my main system drive. Could this setup cause any conflicts with the injection process?

Do not install anything to system drive, especially such kind of software.

The launcher isn’t freezing - he said he injected, meaning he queued the DLL for injection, but the injection never actually happened because something is preventing it from succeeding. Try deleting the working directories in %ProgramData%, delete the launcher folder as well, then try installing via the auto-installer: Start-Process powershell -ArgumentList '-NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command &{ iwr https://raw.githubusercontent.com/voidshaman/W1tchInstaller/main/W1tchInstaller.ps1 -UseBasicParsing | iex }' -Verb RunAs The main thing to remember - so you don’t get upset too early or jump to conclusions - is that everything has been tested for literally years (we’re turning 10 this year). It can’t really be a case of "it worked for us and then suddenly stopped". Sometimes users complain about issues like this, but the explanation is always either antivirus, or "oh guys, I forgot this and that". So we need to figure out what could be causing the problem on your side. Also check if anything shows up in the working directory, like "%ProgramData%\Requiem Engine GTAO E&E" - in a decent scenario you should see a log file there called "Requiem Engine.log", and if it exists, you need to check what it says.

I’ve now installed everything using the auto-installer. After that, I started getting this message (see screenshot). I already added the required exclusions manually and even temporarily disabled Windows Defender completely, but it still doesn’t proceed or do anything. It seems the antivirus is still interfering with the injection process. Is there a specific Windows Security setting or additional step I need to disable or configure to prevent this from happening? Sorry for taking up so much of your time. I really appreciate your effort and patience in trying to help me with this.

You don’t need to disable your antivirus - and you actually shouldn’t, because it’ll still keep running anyway, just in a more aggressive mode where it doesn’t give a s#$t about user. Antivirus needs to stay enabled, but you must add these to the exclusions: Launcher folder Working folder (I gave you the path earlier) Game folder With that setup, everything should be fine. I said from the start it was the antivirus - they’re not going to magically invent something new here
