If there’s anything you actually want to know about it, ask - I can point you to where things are, because the current version has a lot of duct tape and legacy quirks. It’s been passed around between multiple people over time like family heirloom, lol. I’m cleaning it up for v0.7 right now, and even I sometimes stare at it like “who tf wrote this and why”. So no, this doesn’t "scare" me. The launcher has been decompiled many times before you, and people have even tried poking the server with an “agent key” - only to realize it’s just an isolated directory for the launcher: a couple DLLs and a manifest that the launcher downloads anyway. And to be clear: I’m using SA mainly to bundle modules together (Costura Fody has a bunch of limitations here), not to "protect secrets". This thing downloads DLLs and injects them to make the menu easier to use - that’s it. There are no secret server keys, no hidden backdoors, nothing like that, so I’ll save you the time. Everything works strictly through the API, and the launcher directory on the server is isolated. It was always expected that people would look into it. Since you’re already there, feel free to confirm publicly that we don’t collect any user data. The launcher only touches its own directory, the menu’s working directory, and the game process - nothing else. I’m not going to hide or delete this thread - on the contrary, I’ll approve it and make it public, so everyone can see this as well. Once the launcher is fully refactored, it may even be published openly on github. Maybe there will be people who can contribute, because I simply don’t have the time or the health to juggle four projects at once, especially when missiles and shaheds are flying overhead and blackouts last 14-18 hours a day.
