GTAV E&E ERROR: "Could not download files from the Rockstar Games Service required to play GTA Online. Please return to the Main Menu and try again later."

Requiem gets successfully injected in the main menu and works in story mode. The recurring error appears when loading into online with requiem injected. Error does not appear when loading into online without requiem, neither from the menu nor from story mode. BE disabled, firewall disabled, antivirus disabled, drivers updated. Launcher v0.65, menu GTA E&E 2.4.0.340, game version 1.0.889.22 on Epic Games. Date: 2025-08-15

The copy button in the injector engine also does not seem to be working. No error codes in the log.

I thought so too, and I tried troubleshooting from what I found on their forums, but the only factor I could isolate is whether the menu was injected or not. I'd file a ticket with Rockstar but I don't think they would appreciate the circumstances.

Have you seen this happen before? Any idea what it could be?

This is a very common issue and doesn’t depend on whether the menu was injected or not. I used to run into it several times a week. Lately it’s been happening less often. It can be a local problem with the account (many different factors can come into play, but the essence is the same - the game literally fails to load the files it’s supposed to pull in at runtime), or it can be a broader issue.
