kye
Okay, so the menu is officially in preview now, and as such people are getting to grips with the new layout (unless you were a tester😉). I have a lot of positives to say about this menu, and I'll list them out here. 1) Options are VERY stable and seem to be very well tested, everything is very well labelled and the locales seem to be perfect. 2) There are a surprisingly impressive amount of options available in preview, pretty much everything that's needed for modders. 3) Protex seem to be working very well, I haven't been crashed or desync kicked once since I started using it. This is a big improvement. And now, here are some constructive criticisms. 1) I expected for the car mods section to be released on release of the menu, this is an option that a lot of us I'd imagine we want. 2) The way the menu works can be confusing if you're new to menus, it would be good to have a screen overlay in-game when the menu loads up. Similarly to Impulse, there could be a message notification or banner saying something like "Welcome to DIS2RBED. Press F4 to open." 3) Certain options can't be disabled (seemingly), such as the info panel in the bottom right and the console log. It would be great to have a little more customisation, such as hiding UI elements, changing the length of displayed options and more. Please don't take this the wrong way, I am a very, VERY long standing user of DIS1RBED and DIS2RBED and I have nothing but appreciation for the staff, devs and the rest of the community. 1
