How to keep spawned cars

I wanted to use the spawn in vehicle feature, so I could keep a car that has been removed from the game (Pfister comet) , there used to be an option to allow you to keep them- is this not possible now?

if you want to store them in your own garage all you have to do is drive a car off the street into your garage and during the garage animation you spawn the car with the spawn in vehicle option enabled.
